World of Tanks || Super Conqueror Review

History

A variant of the Conqueror heavy tank with the addition of extra armour protection. Manufactured during the first half of the 50s and used for testing the Dart and Malkara guided anti-tank missiles. During testing, the vehicle played the role of a heavy tank that could potentially appear in the future. It never saw mass production. Continue reading World of Tanks || Super Conqueror Review

World of Tanks || IS-3A Review

History

In 1956–1957, the Military Armored Forces Academy developed a speculative design for a new loading system on the IS-3 and T-10 heavy tanks. The IS-3 variant featured a double-row ammo rack with an automatic loading system. The crew was reduced to three members: commander, gunner, and driver. The turret was redesigned in order to accommodate the loading mechanism. The vehicle existed only in blueprints.

Top 3 Quirks

  • It has a very fast shell velocity of 1,400 meters per second
  • Better DPM than standard IS-3
  • Decent Penetration using its standard rounds

Bottom 3 Quirks

  • Very lacklustre mobility
  • Insanely horrific gun handling
  • Poor crew training due to three crew members

BrandScore

DPM – The DPM of this tank is 2,000 giving it a 6/10

Penetration – The Penetration of this tank is 221 giving it a 6/10

Gun Handling – The Shown Dispersion Value of this tank is 0.46 giving it a 2/5, and the Hidden Dispersion Value average is 0.227 giving it a 3/5

Aiming Time – The Aiming Time of this tank is 3.40 giving it a 5/10

Gun Vertical Movement – The Gun Depression of this tank is 5 degrees giving it a 2/5, while the gun elevation of this tank is 19 degrees giving it 2/5

Survivability – The armour strength of this tank used to be god-tier, and now it’s very much meh. Yes the turret armour is still very good, but it is in-fact worse than the IS-3 with its top turret. Hull armour wise, it is the same as the IS-3 in every way. But against all tanks tier 8 and below, it is pretty much a 50/50 that it’s frontal hull will hold up. Tier 9 and 10, don’t count on frontal hull armour at all. For all of these reason’s I’m giving this tank a 6/10

Mobility – The Power-to-Weight of this tank is 10.61 giving it a 2/5, while the average Traverse speed of this tank is 24 giving it another 2/5

View Range – The View range of this tank is 350 meters giving it a 8/10

Concealment Whilst Stationary (Camouflage) – The Camouflage value of this tank while not moving and not firing is 6.84% giving it a 3/10

Value – This tank is NOT a valuable tank. It is expensive to play, is a poor crew trainer, and there are just much better options out there for a better overall Tier 8 heavy premium tank *cough* Object 252U *cough*. Value wise, I’m giving this tank a 4/10 for value.

Thus, the overall BrandScore is 51/100

Final Thoughts

So would I buy this tank again? No, not at all. To be fair to this tank, it was good when it first came out but now even the Lowe is a much better choice. There are just better alternatives to this tank in every way imaginable (unless you want that troll side armour!). Save yourself the pain of not being able to hit anything, and get a Obj. 252U if you really want a good Russian Tier 8 Premium!

Improve your WN8 by Squatting Everyday

This is the program I used for the past month or so to add 30kg to my Squat 1RM!

Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday
Squat to 2RM Full body band workout at least 3 hours before workout Squat to 2RM Full body band workout at least 3 hours before workout Squat to 2RM Full body band workout at least 3 hours before workout Full body band workout
Bench press to 1RM Front squat to 1RM Speed bench press to 3RM Speed deadlift to 3RM Volume bench to 5RM Squat to 2RM
If fail, add reverse bands and try again Deadlift to 2RM 10 mins conditioning Conditioning Volume deadlift to 5RM
10 mins conditioning If fail, put weight on blocks and increase weight Military press to 80% +5% every week

As you can see I am squatting 6 times per week, which is no easy task! My number 1 priority was recovery and stretching, and I can confidently say that as a result of this program, I am way more flexible than I used to be. I usually stretched for 20 minutes before and after squatting, as well as utilising various dynamic exercises to prepare myself for squats. I warmed up using 5 reps on lighter weights, 3 reps on moderate weights, until I got to heavy weights and just went for a new 2RM everyday.

I chose to go for a 2RM instead of a 1RM everyday because it put less strain on the body and I could go by feel better. For example, if the first rep was very difficult, I could decide to not go for the second and instead drop the weight. I believe this helped me prevent injury.

In terms of the full body band workout that I used as hypertrophy and to aid in recovery, you can find details here.

My conditioning consisted of an intense 10 minutes that had me close to vomiting using a variety of templates that I gathered from this video by Brian Alsruhe.

I started this program with a 150kg squat, and I recently hit a 180kg one rep max. Squatting everyday works! Try it for yourself.

World of Tanks || Großtraktor – Krupp Review + GIVEAWAY!

History

The Grosstraktor (“large tractor”) was the name given to six prototype medium tanks built (two each) by Rheinmetall, Krupp and Daimler, for the German Weimar Republic, in violation of the Treaty of Versailles. Constructed in secret they were tested in the Soviet Union. They were used for training and retired as monuments after the Nazi party came to power.  By 1929, two prototypes were manufactured from non-armored steel and underwent trials in the Soviet Union until 1933. The trials revealed multiple faults, and the vehicle never saw service. However, the results of vehicle development were later used by German engineers.

gr3k

Top 3 Quirks

  • Highest HP Pool of any Tier 3 at 320HP, and even has more than the M3 Lee
  • Derp Gun ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
  • Good mobility especially considering its armour

Bottom 3 Quirks

  • Huge target to hit
  • The armour is almost as bad as the Tier 7 American TD Scorpion with 1mm of armour. Think about that for a second!
  • This tank performs terribly in Tier 4 or Tier 5 matches

BrandScore

DPM – The DPM of this tank is 1200 giving it a 4/10

Penetration – The Penetration of the tank is 43 giving it a 2/10

Gun Handling – The Show Dispersion Value of this tank is 0.55 giving it a 2/5, while the Hidden Dispersion Value average is 0.207 giving it a 3/5

Aiming Time – The aiming time of this tank is 2.20 seconds giving it an 8/10

Gun Vertical Movement – This tank has 12 degrees of gun depression giving it a 4/5, and has 60 degrees of gun elevation giving it a 5/5

Survivability – In this tank, you just don’t survive very well. To call this tank armoured would be laughable. In real life, if you punched this tank, you could expect your hand to go straight through it! (not really… but you get the point :P). As such, this tank gets a 2/10

Mobility – The power-to-weight ratio of this tank is 15.24 giving it a 2/5, while its average traverse speed is 38.5 degrees per second giving it a 3/5

View Range – The view range of this tank is 330 meters giving it a 7/10

Concealment Whilst Stationary (Camouflage) – the Camouflage value of this tank when not moving or firing the cannon is 14.71%, giving it a 6/10

Value – I picked up this tank for just over $7 ($5.60USD, 4.70 Euros) which for me is a bargain. This is a rare tank, with a derp gun, at Tier 3. So hell yeah it is worth it! Only thing is this is NOT noob friendly. The armour and huge size will get you in a lot of trouble, often. As such, I’m giving this tank an 8/10.

Thus, the final Brandscore is: 56/100

Final Thoughts

So would I buy this tank again? For this price of $7AUD yes! But would I get it in a $120AUD bundle? No way! This is a unique tank that can either be fun (at tier 3 games) or horrendous (at tier 5 games).
