Tank Review: Sabaton’s Primo Victoria (aka Strv 81) Tier 8 Premium Medium Tank

History:

This ‘Primo Victoria’ Tank is actually the Strv. 81, which was the designation given to around 250 Centurion Mk.III and V tanks purchased from the British and used by the Swedish Military. This Sabaton version of the tank – based on the band Sabaton – is a re-skinned version of the Strv. 81… and it’s awesome.

Top 3 Quirks:

  • Hilarious band-only quirks, such as the Brother’s in Arms Icons are little rocking signs, and the crew of the tank are the members of the band!yesbith
  • Also, the tank has a really cool camo (subjective, I know) which also allows
  • APCR rounds have great shell velocity on them, giving them an edge over the Standard tier 8 Centurions AP shells

Bottom 3 Quirks:

  • It’s gun handling isn’t great thanks to its hidden values
  • Feel’s quite sluggish to drive
  • Very much a re-skin of the Tier 8 Centurion (but even better)

BrandScore:

DPM – The DPM of this tank is 1,840 giving it a 5/10

Penetration – The Penetration of this tank is 226 giving it a 6/10

Gun Handling – The Shown Dispersion Value of this tank is 0.33 giving it a 3/5, while the Hidden Dispersion Value average of this tank is 0.18, giving it a 4/5

Aiming Time – The aiming time of this tank is 2.30 seconds, giving it a 7/10

Gun Vertical Movement – The tank has 10 degrees of gun depression giving it a 4/5, and 18 degrees of gun elevation giving it a 2/5

Survivability – The frontal hull of this thing is easily penetrated by most tanks it sees, although some light tanks and lower tier tanks may still struggle to penetrate it. Having said that, it has a very strong frontal turret which will challenge most tier 10 guns! Also, with side spaced armour, this tank will bounce a surprising amount of shells. With all this in mind, I give this tank a 6/10.

Mobility – This tank has a power-to-weight ratio of 17.72 giving it a 3/5, and also has an average traverse speed of 36 degrees per second, giving it a 3/5

View Range – This tank has a view range of 400 meters, giving it a 9/10

Concealment Whilst Stationary – This tank has a camouflage value of 13.84 giving it a 6/10

Value – This tank is a really cool little tank. It doesn’t excel in any one thing, but is a great all-rounder – Like all centurions in-game and in-real life are! Also, with a special camo and also that special 100% crew, I think this is a great premium tank. As such, I’m giving it a 9/10

Thus, the total BrandScore is: 61/100

So is it worth it? Well, if you’re looking for a capable tank that excels at being average. Then heck yes, it is!
